 The AutoSeatingMode for FAST play
 Online bridge offers the chance to play just a few hands of bridge – without the need to commit several hours of your time, get in your car, go out in the cold or arrange a partner (or opponents). A computer can take the information we give it and by using specific instructions – ‘match’ players who are compatible and ‘fly’ them together to a table where play can begin immediately. No waiting around. No wasted time.
What is AutoSeatingMode ( Dropin Dropout)
D I D O stands for Drop in Drop Out and is our automatic seating mechanism that sits 4 players at a table.
You simply ‘drop in’ to play a few boards and are quickly seated opposite a partner and with opponents. Our automatic seating system recognises your **stated bridge systems and preferences.
All the information is taken from your profile so it is very important that you do take the time to complete this as fully as possible. Then all you have to do is enter the DIDO Room and leave it to the DIDO ‘magic carpet’ to whisk you into a set of boards.
We want to get you into a game quickly. New guests – who have not yet made friendships and partnerships – will quickly be seated and begin to play without having to wait to be invited! Another key feature is that by filling in your ASM profile, you will automatically be matched with a partner whose system approach is similar to your own. This will enable players to take part in a ASM Bridge Session either as individuals or partnerships and quite simply – have a good game for as long or short a time as you would like.
ASM is set up so that each table will play 3 boards in a ‘round’. When you Drop In for a game in ASM format you are committing to play 3 boards. Please remember this.
At the end of the round you will be given an option to continue for another 3 boards. Accept and play on - or decline and you can step away gracefully, without any explanation or apology. You have fulfilled the commitment for 3 boards!
Initially, ASM will be found only in the SOCIAL ROOM.
The ‘options window’ above will be offered to you when you first enter the Social Room.
If you choose NO – then for that entire online session in the Social Room – you will not be auto-seated there.
Later in the session, of you want to change the ‘mode’ to YES (and join in DIDO) - if you selected NO then you simply leave and re-enter the Social room shown and change your selection to YES.
If you select the option to NEVER be selected in DIDO mode then you will not be asked again until the next time you log back in - in other words you will remain in "Manual" mode for your whole online session. You must leave the club and close the control window completely to clear the stored "NEVER" choice. Then you will again be shown the options window next time you enter the social room.
Note: If a board is aborted for any reason, if it has been seen – then that's it. It can never be played again in any mode.

How do I select DIDO mode?
Simply select to move to the SOCIAL room and before entering you will be asked to make a choice.

How do I select the System and/or Standard of players to sit at the table with?
Your own selection of Bridge Systems in your Profile are those that are used for matching.
How do I know I am in DIDO mode.
You will see a flashing Line of text just to the right of the Chat Box.
What happens at the end of a round of 3 boards?
You can press READY to show willingness to play another round or leave the table as normal. We may add a furtrher "sound bite" to announce the end of the round.
How do I clear my selection and play as normal.
Simply LEAVE the Social Room. You will be asked each time you return UNLESS you check "NEVER" and then, you wont be asked again until the next time you log back in - in other words you will remain in "Manual" mode for your whole online session.
