is an experienced Electronics Engineer, originally from the Aerospace
industry where he was Chief Engineer at Hawker Siddeley Dynamics
in England in the 70's. He is a trained pilot and amatuer jazz musician amongst other interests, usually related to food! He comes from a bridge playing family though rarely
has time to play! He has 3 children who are now
out in the big wide world. |

Tony Philpott started playing bridge in 1956 and played in various clubs in the south of England before moving to the Yorkshire Dales in 1984 and founding the Wensleydale Bridge Club. He joined EBU-Online in 1999 and became Competitions Manager of BCL, in charge of the programme of Special Competitons and Leagues, in 2005. He is now responsible to the Managing Director for the day-to-day running of BridgeClubLive. |

Fran learned to play bridge
at the Acol Club in London (UK) and played Duplicate and Rubber
bridge in almost all the clubs in and around the area. After
a degree in Education, she made a career in Pr & Advertising.
She has been a successful professional charity fundraiser and
also run her own retail business for many years.
Fran has a great love of words and language - creating humour
whenever possible. At the bridge table, she can often be found
howling with laughter and trying to offer the best 'one-liners'
- the bridge almost forgotten. |

player, mathematician and database programmer - and also does all
our WEB based Bridge results design.
Phil is responsible for all client and server developments

In April 2010, Barrie kindly accepted to take over where our previous CTD, John Probst, had a serious illness and could no longer continue in this role. Barrie has been a long standing member and consultant in various roles over the many years since the club's beginning and is the regular TD at the Annual BCL UK Congress. He provides support and guidance on enquiries regarding Law
